Orthopedic Physicians Alaska seeks a highly skilled, dedicated and professional Payment & Claims Poster/Processor to join our rapidly growing and dynamic team. Representative duties
- Balance incoming funds and reconcile daily deposits
- Post large volume of daily payments/denials efficiently with attention to detail
- Perform electronic claim corrections and submit claims daily without errors
- Perform electronic (ERA) payment posting efficiently with attention to detail
Knowledge and skill requirements
- Knowledge of primary and secondary coordination of benefits
- Knowledge of basic billing procedures
- Knowledge of HIPAA
- Basic CPT and ICD-9/10 coding knowledge
- Knowledge of claims processing for electronic and paper claims
Required qualifications
- One (1) year of medical office experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred (in addition to required) qualifications
- One (1) year of medical office experience working directly with medical insurance billing
