Under direct supervision from a manager or other supervisor, the individual’s primary responsibilities are in the marketing of accounts and in providing technical backup for the underwriting and production staff. These efforts support the production of new and renewal business.

General Responsibilities:
  • Assist the marketing department in obtaining and analyzing quotations and declinations from various companies.
  • Rate new and renewal policies and complete applications and other required documentation.
  • Prepare high quality and accurate proposals for presentations.
  • Market new and renewal accounts according to established procedures.
  • Maintain internal database information and prepare related reports as requested.
  • Submit the insurance submission to the insurance carriers for quoting via email and online rating.
  • Follow up with carriers on quotations of the submissions.
  • Negotiate the pricing and coverage options on renewal accounts.

Required Quali:
  • Highschool graduate or equivalent, college degree a plus!
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • 1+ years experience in a comparable role
  • P&C 2-20 Insurance License, or willingness to obtain within six months
