Summary:


Under direction of the Medical Director and Occupational Health leadership team, develops, organizes, administers, and supervises Workers Compensation Case Management for Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin. This position has budget accountability and is responsible for leading the performance of the Workers Compensation team, including managing and reviewing claims, participating in legal strategies and settlement negotiations, recommending loss control strategies, ensuring program conformance to applicable laws and regulations, developing team members, reporting data to key stakeholders, participating and leading committees for injury prevention, monitoring and evaluating the program activities to ensure the delivery of quality services and optimal outcomes for injured staff members. Other duties as assigned.


Responsibilities:


A minimum of three years of healthcare experience in occupational health or other comparable clinical experience is required. Workers compensation case management experience with a carrier or healthcare organization is preferred. Experience in a leadership role is preferred. Bachelor's degree in a Healthcare related field is required. Master's degree in nursing is preferred. Working knowledge of all equipment used in assessing and giving primary health care. Working knowledge of federal and state LOA and Worker's Compensation and OSHA regulations and requirements. Knowledge and/or experience of worksite safety regulations and requirements. Experience with third party workers compensation carriers is desirable. Current Wisconsin State Licensure as a health care professional is required.
