Prince Manufacturing Corporation is a U.S. manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders and valves. The Hartington, NE location is currently looking to expand their production team on second and third shifts. Applicants will work in a diverse manufacturing atmosphere that could include machine operators, CNC operators, assembly, or the paint line. No experience is necessary! On the job training will be provided.

Compensation and Benefits include:

  • Starting wage From $21.00 - $34.75/hour
  • Shift premium of $2.00 per hour for 2nd or 3rd shift

Schedules:

Second Shift:
Monday thru Thursday: 3:15pm – 1:15am

Third Shift:
Monday night thru Thursday morning: 9:00pm – 7:00am


Qualifications:

  • Must have a high-school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to stand for an extended period of time
  • Must pass drug screen
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 pounds
  • Must pass pre-employment work screen that includes lifting of 83 pounds and a strong grip strength
  • CNC experience preferred but not required
  • Basic computer skills including operation of a mouse and keyboard
  • Mechanically inclined individuals with strong attention to detail

Job Description:

SUMMARY - Flexible and willing to float between various departments as needed which may include assembling and testing product, setting up and operating a variety of machines to produce precision parts, sub assembly and picking in pre-pack, performing material transfers and/or working in the paint department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team.

  • Safely operate a variety of manufacturing machinery.
  • Arrives to work, meetings, and appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.
  • Must possess sense of urgency in fast-paced environment, while working safely.
  • Must be comfortable and willing to have varied work that may change each day or potentially several times throughout the day.
  • Measures, examines, or tests completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as
    micrometers.
  • Maintains machine tools in proper operational condition.
  • Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, work instructions or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished
    workpiece, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
  • Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications using micrometers, tape measures, dial and Vernier calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, thread
    gauges, plug gauges, standards and additional inspection that is process specific.
  • Records quantity and date in identification tags.
  • Regularly uses computer system to fill orders.
  • Counts and picks quantities of parts per order requirements.
  • Assist with duties in paint department including hanging, packing, shipping, loading, decaling and/or blow off.
  • Follow safety rules and keep work area clean and in orderly condition.
  • Sweeps, scrubs, and wipes down equipment and floor in work area.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or (GED) is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on–one conversations and before groups of customers, vendors or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds and use 80 pounds of grip force. The employee must occasionally push/pull 150 pounds. Specific vision abilities may include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This position requires the employee to wear safety glasses, steel-toed shoes/boots and hearing protection.

ORIENTATION and SAFETY TRAINING: Must complete ISO ORIENTATION and SAFETY TRAINING.
