During your first two weeks, you will be paired with a seasoned employee to introduce you to our environment and help you get comfortable in our house. Come check us out! The manufacturing facilities are heavily industrial with fast moving parts, heavy, sharp objects, and machinery. The environment is loud and subject to ambient conditions.

• Essential Job Duties:
• Assist Machine Operator in the set ups/changeovers of the machine. Involving the removal and replacement of tooling rolls, cut off dies, punch dies, table spacer, etc.
• Accumulate products as they exit from the machine and safety stack into standard pallets.
• Safely operate banding machines to secure metal strapping and wood blocks to pallets, as well as wood chop saw or wood radial arm saws to cut wood blocks to custom lengthens.
• Operate Jib crane in a safe matter to maneuver slit coils onto the machine.
• Ability to learn and apply all the necessary packaging requirement. Writing pallet description on exterior of pallets, apply the necessary pallet stickers, spray paint gauge colors on pallet edges, safely operate banding machine to secure metal strapping on wood blocks to pallets.
• Other duties, as necessary.

Requirements:

• CEMCO is an industrial, machine shop environment. You must be comfortable working in an area that can be loud, hot, and dirty. Many of the jobs at CEMCO are repetitive in nature. You will be on your feet at all times.
• You must always wear the required safety equipment: Safety glasses, work gloves, ear protection, long pants, sleeved shirts, and work boots/shoes.
• You will be required to take a lifting, pushing, and pulling test upon hire.
• High School or G.E.D, or 3 years of experience and/or related training.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus!

Schedule:

• PM Shift: 2:00 PM-10:45 PM (Monday through Friday) (Shift differential)
• OT may be needed.

Pay:

PM Shift: $18.25/hr + $1.50 shift differential
