Entry level Logistics Coordinator need in our busy logistics department.
Position has overall responsibility for the route movement of outgoing and incoming freight shipments at train, trucking and shipping docks. Corresponds with customers, freight providers and internal departments to arrange pick up of freight for delivery. The logistics coordinator tracks the delivery progress of shipments from loading to delivery and is responsible for troubleshooting problems with delivery or damaged goods during the shipping process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes, but is not limited to the following:
1. Receive and process orders into shipments through locating pallet counts, weight and destination
2. Review order requirements to determine a MOS for each order and assign a Catania Oils preferred freight provider to the load
3. Gather costs, set ship/deliver dates and issue freight tenders to freight providers
4. Send pick up confirmation e-mails to carriers the day prior to pick up
5. Monitor the daily outbound/inbound shipment schedule to and from Catania oils warehouses. Track carrier progression and communicate estimated delivery/pick up times
6. Enforce Catania Oils shipping/receiving requirements
7. Use Catania Oils and carrier tracking systems to monitor the progression of all shipments
8. Identify, resolve and if necessary communicate problems during the shipping process to limit customer complaints
9. Provide freight rates for inbound and outbound shipments to customer service and sales teams
10. Request freight quotes from preferred carrier team
11. Work directly with customer service/sales to help answer any freight related inquiries
12. Field orders related to Catania Oils fleet deliveries and develop driver run assignments and delivery schedule
13. Schedule delivery/pick up appointments
14. Identify and complete high priority tasks in a timely fashion
15. Cross communicate with multiple departments
16. Communicate problems and delays during delivery or damaged goods during the shipping process to internal and external parties

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor’s degree (preferred not required)
Advanced experience with Microsoft office, Word and Excel
Willing to train the right person interested in Logistics field.
