Porto's Bakery truly believes that the secret to our success lies in the hands of the people we employ. We are currently recruiting for Kitchen-Line Cooks and Prep Cooks in the city of Burbank, CA.

Here are the minimum Requirements for Kitchen - Line Cooks and Prep Cooks :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and minimum 1 year of previous kitchen experience as Kitchen - Line Cook and/or Prep Cook.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced, limited space, high volume environment, paying attention to detail.
  • Must be able to multi-task and have excellent time management skills.
  • Must be certified in Safe Food Handling with an understanding of local, state, and federal health and sanitation laws.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of food quality, hygiene, and consistency (fresh products, safe foods, recipe adherence, cleanliness, etc.).
  • Ensures that there be no cross-contamination, improper food handling, and/or storage practices through proper training and supervision.
