Description
The Legislative Research Commission is accepting applications for the position of Legislative Courier in the Office of the LRC Couriers. This position is nonpartisan and requires the ability to work with neutrality in a politically charged environment.
The Legislative Research Commission provides staff support to the Kentucky General Assembly. The agency offers unique opportunities to people seeking fulfilling, challenging, and rewarding careers. LRC staff members provide diverse services and are united by the common purpose of supporting the branch of government closest to the people.
This is a permanent, full-time position with benefits including health and life insurance; retirement plan; and paid holidays, vacation, and sick days. Compensatory time is awarded on an hour-for-hour basis with prior approval.

Job Duties:
- Transport documents and other items between offices within the Legislative Research Commission and the Capitol campus
- Lift boxes and other items of varying weight, including heavy materials
- Use LRC equipment such as phone, computer, dolly, and other equipment necessary to perform needs of office
- Drive LRC vehicles inside and outside Frankfort as necessary to perform needs of office
- Keep information confidential
- Attend training as needed or directed
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: A high school diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: NONE
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Relevant experience may substitute for the required education at the discretion of the hiring supervisor/manager.
