LEAN Engineer Job at Tata Technologies
Role of LEAN engineer-
1. Work with OEM and attend supplier workshops in NA, Mexico, and Canada (but primarily in NA)
2. Able to do the complete value stream mapping and create the flow and help in identifying the value.
3. Bring the right LEAN tools (e.g. 5s, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizens, Visual Management, etc) to collect and analyze the data, such as, supplier shop floor, cycle time, layout study, etc.
4. Facilitate and lead teams in continuous improvement events
5. Optimize workflow and cell designs for shop throughput.
6. Optimize machining processes to reach product quality, efficiency, and process repeatability.
7. Facilitate problem solving by leveraging/modeling continuous improvement methodologies to eliminate root causes and permanently reduce variance.
8. Work together with Industrial Engineering to analyze lines for constraints and bottlenecks to achieve continuous flow
9. Perform data analysis and provide written reports that make problems and opportunities visible (FORD is ok to get this job done by an offsite engineer also, so the onsite LEAN engineer will capture and participate but analysis can be done by offsite team)
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
