Essential Functions of the position:

  • Participate in CYSC Youth orientation and onboarding
  • Ensure youth leaders are completing their weekly workshops and contributing to the MCMF platform.
  • Meet weekly to complete Learn to Lead plan.
  • Maintain activity on MCMF platform.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records.
  • Adhere to our Chicago Youth Service Corps Learn to Lead plan.
  • Ensure youth leaders are connecting and collaborating on assignments to create a capstone.
  • Provide guidance and support for youth workers while reinforcing the development of skills and knowledge that youth gain through program participation.
  • Collect time sheets and verify that youth workers are signing in and out daily and working their prescribed hours. Ensure timesheets are submitted to immediate program coordinator before payroll deadline Friday by 5:00pm*
  • Implement and enforce Code of Conduct; determine necessary disciplinary actions according to the Code of Conduct expressed through orientation/application/outline.
  • Ensure youth leaders have a MCMF account, and participate in workshops
  • Report complaints of youth leadership or instructors to the Program coordinator/Director
  • Ensure Youth leaders complete on-line financial literacy and workforce development trainings.
  • Coach youth one on one when necessary.
  • Attends weekly supervision/updates meeting with Department Staff.
  • Ensure CYSC youth leaders/ host site/ worksite partners adheres to Covid protocols outlined by the CDC, Cook County, City of Chicago, and BGCC.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED or experience working with youth 2+ Years.
  • Preferred Experience: Working with youth and young adults of diverse cultural, ethnic and economic backgrounds.
  • Ability to work with at youth and those who are risk youth.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $23.50 per hour
