Position Title: General Laborer

Plant Location: Bath, PA

Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload trucks following safe operating procedures.
  • Operate mobile equipment on plant property (loader, bobcat)
  • Maintain cleanliness of plant work areas.
  • Assist with plant tasks including lubrication, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Transport materials to and from storage and shop areas
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures; assist with physical inspections of plant property/departments.
  • Welding and cutting experience a plus.
  • The Laborer will perform general labor activities for entire plant, including clean-up, transporting bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas, and loading and unloading trucks.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to satisfy ATF application requirements for Cardox use.
  • Previous experience in an open-pit mine a plus
  • Experience using (or ability to learn) plant mobile equipment.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to use a shovel, broom, jackhammer, sweeper, forklift, and bobcat.
  • Ability to work different extended hours, holidays and/or overtime required.
  • Ability to work swing shift for job advancement.
  • Physical Requirements: sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, balancing, bending (bending at the waist, lifting above the waist and lifting below the waist), kneeling, reaching, grasping (use of both hands), squatting, repetitive motions, manipulative finger movements with both hands, use of wrists (flexing or rotating with both wrists), use of both feet, use of arms above and below shoulder, work extended periods of time in the same position, perform duties in all climates i.e. weather, extreme temperatures, tolerate heights, lift and carry up to 75 lbs., work in confined spaces, capable of wearing respiratory and other personal protective equipment.
These are physically demanding jobs where employees are exposed to climate extremes in summer and winter as many outdoor tasks are required. Furthermore, candidates must be able to climb stairs and ladders, work at heights, walk over rough / outdoor terrain, and perform heavy lifting including jackhammer operation.

Due to the nature of our operations, selected candidates may be assigned as needed to work afternoon and/or midnight shifts, weekends, and holidays. An understanding of, and commitment to, the highest standards for industrial workplace safety, environmental compliance, dependability, and professional workmanship is essential.

Starting pay is $21.53/hr. Upon completion of probationary period the rate is $23.93/hr.
