IMC is currently hiring IT Tech whose primary duties will be to support physician offices and daily technical support to all personnel that utilize the facilities computer systems and equipment. This includes assisting with all software and hardware related issues. The IT Tech shall respond to IT Work Request made via the IT Ticket System, emergency phone calls placed by users and requests made by the Information Systems Manager as well as other Managers and Administrators.


EDUCATION

  • Minimum of high school diploma required.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least three years of computer related technical support within healthcare preferred.

JOB KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of computer hardware repair with at least one-year experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Office and Server OS.
  • LAN and WAN management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Time Management; the maintenance work has to be done fast as the computers are required for other task
  • Versatility: there are many other devices attached to the computer, the tech should also know about those peripherals
  • Adoptability: reasonable learning skills
  • Knowledge of Cisco VOIP System

PRINCIPLE TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Physician billing/collections software support
  • Respond to support requests placed by system/equipment users.
  • Assist in maintenance of all hospital computer hardware/software, including all personal computers, peripheral devices, servers, printers, network devices, software applications, etc.
  • Assist vendors when support is necessary.
  • Perform daily close procedures and generate appropriate reports.
  • Install, test and validate new software prior to distribution.
  • Configure personal computer workstations.
  • Perform daily system backup procedures.
  • Assign security profiles for new and existing employees.
  • Assist in beeper maintenance for all personnel.
  • Assist in maintenance of hospital telephone system.
  • Work after hours/weekends when necessary.
