PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Reporting to the General Manager, provide both hardware/software supports for the ERP Systems, PC Systems and any computer/data communications related support for Ansen. Provide as needed support for any system within the facility.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Hardware Support:

• Responsible for specifying, installing, and maintaining all computer hardware. This support will involve specifying and providing preventative maintenance and coordinating the repairs of existing equipment with internal or external repair services.
• Equipment covered includes all MIS equipment, personal computers, and any peripherals associated with the above equipment. These responsibilities also include assuring that the daily and weekly backups are completed for all systems.
• Provide any technical support of all systems necessary to answer any user's questions. If this person does not know the answers, they will determine the best course of action in which to find them, and ultimately solve the problem.
• Provide technical support for remote corporate staff.
• Provide cell phone support on company assigned phones.
• Responsible for maintaining and supporting customer supplied computer/data equipment. This includes items such as data networks and peripherals.
• Responsible for the installation of data lines between appropriate points. Data wiring installation and service, insuring that this wiring makes connection between the two terminating devices (ie. Terminal blocks). The devices attached will be the responsibility of the systems support specialist.

Software Support:

• Support and train all employees on the use of all company-licensed software and proprietary systems software.
• Provide the interface to the General Manager in regards to problems and suggestions for improvement in the existing systems
• Insure that all requirements of software license agreements are met and upheld.

Systems Design:

• With the General Manager’s approval, this person will develop Systems for in-house use.

Network Installation and Management:

• Investigation of new software proposals and purchases. Analysis of efficient use of computing resources.
• Prepare and implement budgets, maintain fiscal responsibility and cost control for the company in the area of MIS.

The above duties may occasionally be supplemented with other job duties and/or assignments as required.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related program. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
• Extensive problem solving skills both technical and on an individual basis.
• Ability to present ideas, proposals, etc to all levels of management and outside entities when necessary.
• Job Quality Level at 100% with participation in internal training modules required to perform specific job requirements as defined in the HR training database.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
