Job Summary
The IT Analyst position is an IT professional whose focus of analysis and problem solving relates to data, types of data, and relationships of data within the business systems. This function includes administering business systems, conducting the full lifecycle of analysis: requirements gathering, detail design specifications, and Quality Assurance. The position will be focusing on, but not limited to, integration, and application development areas and business system administration.
Performs a wide variety of tasks; contributes to process improvements. Comprehensive knowledge of fundamental theories, principles, and practices in the area of specialization. Identifies possible solutions for problems/issues of diverse scope using existing solutions. Works under general supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities

Partner with business and IT stakeholders to identify, analyze, and implement data related technology solutions

Work with systems analysts, business analysts, and integration developers to help identify, analyze, and design integration solutions between business systems

Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and work with business stakeholders to remediate data quality issues

Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
-
Provide administrative support to Production Accounting System solutions including administering Application servers and workstations, troubleshooting system software and programs, and administer system access and security
-
Work closely with development team to prototype, test, and validate the functionality of developed applications

Troubleshoot, diagnose, document, and work with development team to remediate issues

Work with management to prioritize business and information needs

Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

Required Qualifications

At least three (3) years of recent related experience working in an analyst and support role.

Proficiency in writing optimized SQL Queries for reporting, creating views, functions, and stored procedures.

Experience in creating reports using tools such as SQL Server Reporting Service, Spotfire, or Power BI
Preferred Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related field from an accredited College or University.

Preferred experience with business solutions common in the Oil and Gas Industry, such as: Procount / eVIN / Carte, Peloton Wellview, Aries, OFM, SAP ECC and PRA, Allegro.

Experience with large, complex initiatives, working with an in-house development team or commercial off the shelf application implementations and software vendors.

Experience with integration technologies (FME, Mulesoft, SSIS, etc.)
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.

Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
