The BEV Inventory Support works closely with Customers, Sales, and Logistics organizations to ensure execution of parts availability plans in line with Customers’ needs and Parts and Services Division measures. This role will also you will utilize Maximo setting up jobs for the maintenance activities, prepare reports for Maintenance Project Mangers, enter, track and expedite all necessary parts orders.

Key responsibilities include:

Business Growth and Development

  • Support to build relationship and trust with the Customers Purchasing, Operations & Maintenance departments
  • In close liaison with BEV Maintenance Project Managers, BEV Technicians, Reliability Engineer, BEV Support Specialist, and Factory to recommend and develop innovative parts availability solutions to deliver better service for Customers need while increasing revenues and margins

Sales & Operations

  • Support day-to-day sales & operations activities, helping on the resolution of conflicts between different stakeholders
  • Identify, communicate and proactively manage potential parts availability gaps or risk
  • Monitoring machine down orders and perform root/cause analysis for improvements opportunities
  • Identify consumables items, run-to-failure (RTF) parts and major components for all active fleet in collaboration with Customers and Sales
  • Build and manage the forecast for major components in collaboration with Customer and Sales/Contracts teams
  • Promote and secure a reliable on-time supply for forecasted items (or Preventive Maintenance plans)
  • Define customized inventory strategies considering service levels and cost for consumable items, RTF and major components
  • Responsible for consignment management (if required)
  • Responsible for exceptional management of Customer returns
  • Coordinate with vendors and the Factory for orders
  • Work with BEV Manager, Maintenance Project Manager, and Reliability Engineer to produce report of In Process, Backlog, and Future jobs
  • Prepare jobs for invoice processing, follow up questions from Accounting to Maintenance Project Manager as required
  • Ownership of metrics, such as on-time delivery, fill rate, inventory on-hand, obsolete inventory for specifics Customers
  • Provide custom weekly/monthly/quarterly progress reports to Customers under the responsibility
  • Provide management on a regular basis actual and projected supply, demand and inventory updates
  • Responsible for measuring and driving continual supply network improvements for customer under the responsibility
  • Work with Logistics Operations to identify opportunities for improvement related to customer satisfaction and cost efficiency

Safety and Environment

  • Complies with SMRT safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements
  • Identifies and reports any unsafe work practices
  • Strives to find safer ways for customers to work with Sandvik’s products

Personal Leadership

  • Ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with Company Values and current Company Policies and Procedures
  • Takes responsibility for personal development and enhancement of skills

Financial

  • Sales stock, goods in transit short and long term planning
  • Reviews customer returns and determines acceptability in conjunction with company return policies

General

  • Participates in inventory planning projects as required.
  • Performs other related duties as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 - 5 years experience in a similar environment
  • Exposure to the supply of parts and consumables in the mining and construction industry

Competencies required

  • Good data analysis, reporting and communication skills
  • Computer literacy is essential, with exposure to ERP systems
  • Drive, determination, and flexibility to achieve targets and goals
  • Superior customer relations skills
  • Highly developed time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of an integrated, broad team.
