We are currently seeking an Inventory Control Specialist (Cryogenics) to join our California Cryobank team in West Los Angeles, California

Position Summary: Provide our internal customers with technical expertise while maintaining the highest quality services possible.

Work Model: This position will be required to work onsite

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handling medical specimens at appropriate cryogenic temperatures throughout the specimen lifetime cycle while adhering to universal precautions with regard to biological specimens.
  • Specimen inventory management to include transfer initiation from the production facility as well as receipt, storage, and distribution to/from the Generate Life Sciences centralized Biorepository.
  • Specimen inventory tracking using database management solutions to ensure accurate inventory and traceability.
  • Specimen logistics and solutions - Processes shipping requests to include packaging specimens, generating shipping documents/labels, coordinating with shipping couriers, and troubleshooting delivery problems.
  • Performs quality control tasks associated with specimen management and cryogenic equipment.
  • Monitors & Maintains cryogenic storage equipment and environmental monitoring system.
  • Maintains demonstrated proficiency with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assists with generating various reports and record keeping.
  • Other duties and projects as required.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associate's Degree minimum, Bachelor’s Degree preferred, and one to two years related experience and/or training.
  • Experience in medical specimen handling management; a plus

Computer Skills:

  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word & Excel) required; knowledge of database programs (e.g., MS Access) preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
