Terran Orbital is looking for an Inventory Controller to join our growing team. The Inventory Controller is responsible for organizing and maintaining the Company’s inventory system while always looking for opportunities to iteratively improve the efficiency of the inventory management process. This individual will support the receiving/logging parts into inventory and the disbursement of parts exiting the inventory process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Enter received materials into inventory for traceability
  • Disburse components in support of production needs
  • Conduct inventory cycle counting
  • Perform daily transactional tasks within the ERP system as they pertain to Inventory
  • Provide Accounting with accurate reporting of inventory quantities and values in support of external audits.
  • Maintain accurate transactional data within the ERP System
  • Take an active role in the maintenance of accurate stock balances and BOMs (Bill of Material), immediately reporting any discovered discrepancies
  • Participate in company internal audits and support customer audits as required
  • Identify and help implement areas for continuous improvement
  • Effectively manage expectations across various functional groups to aid in meeting Company objectives
  • Take all necessary training to maintain and build on current skills and knowledge of positions
  • Comply with all facility and operational safety and housekeeping regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience conducting inventory management using an ERP system
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with a track record of quality and continuous improvement
  • Ability to support multiple tasks/objectives and balance priorities
  • Ability to communicate across disciplines
  • To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, the applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Desired Skills

  • Prior experience improving ERP systems
  • Prior experience in the aerospace industry

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role with heavy computer usage. The position may require the incumbent to move files, open filing cabinets, and bend/stand as necessary. Must have good color perception, eyesight, and the ability to effectively use magnification aids such as binocular microscopes and related test equipment. Must have good hand-eye coordination and the ability to use basic hand tools. Must be able to lift 25 pounds comfortably.
