Inventory Control Specialist Job at The Pool & Spa Depot
The Pool & Spa Depot La Vergne, TN 37086
- Organize & maintain accurate inventory across all warehouses & retail locations
- Perform cycle counts to maintain inventory
- Identify stagnant inventory & determine a course of action to lessen
- Assist with the preparation, execution & reconciliation of the annual physical inventory.
- Research & correct inventory discrepancies
- Research & Identify prospective suppliers
- Maintain strong supplier relationships
- Request quotes & negotiate purchase terms and conditions
- Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues and concerns
- Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolving shortcomings
- Supporting senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies
- Reconcile receipts/invoices with Purchase Request/Orders
- Report discrepancies not resolved to management.
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or similar field.
- Minimum one (1) year experience with data entry with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- 2+ years of experience as a purchasing specialist or similar role
- 2+ years of previous warehouse/inventory experience.
- Working knowledge of purchasing strategies
- Team player with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills
- Strong analytical thinking & problem-solving skills
- Strong mathematical & financial skills
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal & external clients and suppliers.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment
- Ability to lead diverse groups of people.
- Proficient in Windows & Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel) and/or Google Suite (docs, sheets, GMail)
