Adler Pelzer Group - a growing global Tier One supplier of Acoustic and Soft Trim products to the automotive industry is seeking a motivated and committed Inventory Control Analyst to join the manufacturing operations in Port Huron, Michigan.

The inventory control analyst is responsible for the processing, monitoring, analyzing and providing accurate reporting of an organization’s inventory level with a focus on minimizing costs, while maintaining product availability at the correct amount and supply needed. Major duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all assigned KPIs are reported on time and accurately
  • Follow established guidelines to create, administer, analyze and report on all cycle counts and physical inventory of the organization.
  • Resolve errors on inventory transactions, maintain system count accuracy for RAW, WIP & FG and manage inventory adjustments
  • Monitor, resolve, and report slow and obsolete inventories
  • Monitor, interpret and resolve negative inventory (COGIs)
  • Serve as the connection between finance and operations teams to compare forecast versus actual performance and communicate progress, risks, and impacts to annual inventory goals
  • Responsible for planning and reporting on the progress of inventory reduction initiatives and championing inventory issues across several functional units, including Planning, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Finance.
  • Recommend corrective action to improve inventory performance and utilization, as well as guaranteeing that efficient and robust inventory controls are in place
  • Develop performance metrics and reporting tools, and establish ad-hoc reporting to enhance department efficiency
  • Responsible for analyzing data and generating monthly dashboards/reports to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Responsible for identifying the root cause of all inventory adjustments
  • Responsible for resolving errors or exceptions on sales/orders inbound and outbound purchase orders and transfers

Preferred Skills & Knowledge:

  • Understanding of inventory management practices such as;
  • ABC analysis, Cycle Counting and Physical Inventory
  • Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
  • Knowledge of IATF and ISO requirements
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Internet Explorer, ERP system (i.e. SAP)
  • High-level knowledge of MS Excel; including Macros, Filters, V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, etc
  • Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
