Intensive In-Home Specialist Job at Coastal Horizons Center
Coastal Horizons Center, Inc, has an opportunity for an Intensive In-Home Specialist to perform therapeutic interventions in the home and in community settings with the identified youth and their family in the Pender and New Hanover County area. The staff will work with a minimum of two other staff on the intensive in-home team to deliver this enhanced service.
Primary Position Responsibilities:
- Provide direct services through community agencies and in-home services to support family preservation.
- Deliver one-on-one interventions such as skill building activities, intervene with positive behavioral supports, enhance consumer’s knowledge of interpersonal and community relational skills.
- Willing to deliver services in a wide range of community settings such as detention centers, schools, homes, jails, libraries, homeless shelters, and any other applicable locations deemed appropriate and safe.
- Be available as part of a three person team to ensure 24/7/365 crisis response. Face-to-face crisis management must be available in no less than two hours.
Qualifications:
- Completion of Bachelors Degree in a Human Service field, with 2 years of post Bachelors experience with Mental Health population. Meets requirements under 10A NCAC 27G.0104 as a Qualified Professional for Mental Health
AND
- Minimum one (1) year documented experience with children, adolescents, and families.
