Requirements of Position:
Checking eligibility and benefit verification for treatments and procedures.
Reviewing patient bills for accuracy, completeness and obtaining any missing information.
Preparing, reviewing and transmitting claims using Eaglesoft and other billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing.
Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe.
Checking each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount.
Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments. Identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurances.
Reviewing accounts for insurance of patient follow-up.
Researching and appealing denied claims.
Answering all patient or insurance telephone inquires pertaining to assigned accounts and scheduling appointments.
Checking eligibility and authorization and referral requirements for insurances.
Entering insurance information and ensuring the correct fees and fee schedule is utilized.
Posting payments on patient accounts for all major insurances.
Working payment vouchers along with follow-up rejections.
General office duties.
Eaglesoft experience a must.
Minimum of 2 years experience as a dental insurance coordinator required.
No early mornings (9am start), evenings or Fridays or Weekends!!
