We are looking for an industrial electrician to work at our secondary aluminum processing facility. If you have worked in an industrial setting, we are interested in talking with you.

This is a 2-2-3 2-2-3 rotating schedule for 12-hour shifts. Available shifts are 6a-6p or 6p-6a.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all electrical related duties including new installations and panel wiring.

  • Must be able to work from elevated levels, operate equipment, and hand and power tools.

  • Read and understand pertinent electrical meters and other diagnostic tools.

  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting and repair of the electrical components for all equipment with as minimal of downtime as possible.

  • Working with 480VAC 3PH circuits and equipment.

  • Working with ABB Robots.

  • Perform electrical preventive maintenance on all equipment as required.

  • Ensure all safeguards of equipment are installed as needed to conform to governmental regulations.

  • Maintain safe and environmentally sound behavior and ensure that proper work procedures and practices are followed.

  • Comply with all safety standards and regulations.

  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience with industrial electrical applications and or education and experience combined is required.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions.

  • Must have working knowledge and comprehension of state, and federal safety regulations as well as the local, state, and federal electrical code standards.

  • Must have experience working with 3 phase motors and controls (480VAC).

  • Basic working exposure to PLC. (Inputs, outputs, and logic) and basic computer skills.

  • Experience drawing and basic prints; knowledge of electrical schematics and line to line diagrams.

  • Must have experience in reading prints and troubleshooting circuitry problems.

  • Ability to communicate well with others, both verbally and written.

  • Knowledge of NFPA 70 requirements
