WHAT WE NEED:

Freight Broker Sales Position

We’re looking for a results-driven sales representative to actively seek out and engage customer prospects. You will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Build long-term relationships with shippers and contract carriers
  • Arrange transportation services, including tracking status of loads, collaborating with shippers, carriers and dispatchers to manage scheduled collections and drop-offs, keeping accurate records of relevant activities, updating customers on the status of shipments, and assisting with other inquiries
  • Source contract carriers, negotiate rates, schedule freight and solve problems quickly and effectively.
  • Find innovative solutions, negotiate deals and manage day-to-day challenges and complaints to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • Generate leads and attract new prospects; developing a sales pipeline through cold calling, networking and social media
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales, and status reports
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Active management of existing customers in respective book of business – including weekly contact and quarterly business reviews with the client to ensure retention and client satisfaction
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback

Required Skills

  • Proven work experience as a freight broker/sales representative
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office/ Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Gmail
  • Familiarity with TMS and CRM practices along with the ability to build productive business professional relationships
  • Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • Willing to train the right candidate

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $32,624.00 - $130,753.00 per year
