Consumer Advocacy Projects, Inc. operates a significant Home and Community-Based Services program throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area that provides caregiving services to those with developmental disabilities. We currently have a high need for In-Home Caregivers in Phoenix, Tempe and Mesa. Ideal for for a part time second job or ample hours are available if interested in full time.

Pay is $16.00-$18.00 per hour. These rate is effective through 12/31/2022 and includes a $2.50 stipend from funds our agency is recieving from ARPA.

• Respite rate - $16.00
• Attendant Care rate - $16.00
• Habilitation rate - $18.00

Care Giver Responsibilities:

• Providing direct care service and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Assisting individuals with personal hygiene, meal time assistance, dental care, medical monitoring, and household chores.
• Modeling appropriate social behavior and positive use of free time with recreational activity, both in the home and community.
• Redirecting behaviors as needed.
• Promoting and ensuring a safe environment for consumers.
• This position requires the ability to work autonomously and with little to no direct supervision. Candidates must feel comfortable working with clients one-on-one and handling any associated behaviors.

Required Qualifications for a Direct Support Professional:

• Must be able to pass a level 1 fingerprint clearance background check.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Previous experience within the DDD field preferred but not required..
