The Senior HR Operational Excellence Specialist is responsible for supporting the consistent implementation of HR standards, processes, preferred practices, and guidelines. This position will partner with HR Operations and HR Business Partners to gather and analyze information, define, and document business processes, and propose improvements needed to enable efficient operations. This role will support the implementation and development of a platform for knowledge sharing across HR, which is a focus area for the HR organization.

This position is a key contributor to the HR Operational Excellence team, and will be located in Sunnyvale, California. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Meet with various stakeholders to gather and analyze information about HR and business processes and support Global Process Owners in developing, improving, and documenting standards, processes, preferred practices, guidelines, etc.
  • Collaborate with Global Process Owners to write, edit, and format knowledgebase content that is concise, engaging, usable, and appropriate for the audience. Content output type ranges from FAQs, How to Articles, Troubleshooting Guides, and Policy/Program Support Materials.
  • Work closely with Global Process Owners to facilitate process and/or system improvement across various HR teams.
  • Support HR initiatives at the global level to meet established targets through continuous evaluation, quality assurance and focused improvement efforts.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge and experience required with 5+ years of relevant experience and evidence of implementing process improvements
  • Knowledge and understanding of the business processes within HR
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills with demonstrated ability to follow plans and directions with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead discussions, challenge assumptions and gain consensus across diverse teams
  • Skill and ability to create and apply templates using various software tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint/Teams, and Visio preferred

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience implementing a knowledge base platform and creating supporting documentation

The salary range for this role is $93,100 - $128,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
