Specialize in recruiting and talent acquisition. Successful candidate will be expected to perform cross functional duties and assignments of a general scope related to the functions of the Human Resources Department.

Expected to align personal goals with OVEC/IKEC Strategic Business Plan as well as its Mission, Vision and Values.

ACCOUNTABLE TO:

Human Resources Director or Designee

Within the limits of delegated authority and in accordance with established policies and procedures is responsible for the fulfillment of the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract and attain diverse talent for the organization.

Align the recruitment, hiring, and development of talent with the Company's direction and strategic goals.

Execute various human resources functions for the Company.

Administer employment tests; conduct background checks; conduct employee orientation/onboarding; and maintain I-9 records.

Lead recruitment and interview process.

Lead employment and training efforts; perform special assignments.

Carry out within the assigned area of responsibility the Company’s program of Equal Employment Opportunity including its Affirmative Action obligations.

Support and participate in activities and tactical actions designed to improve employee leadership and behavioral skills in alignment with the Company’s strategic goals.

Support and participate in activities and tactical actions designed to align cultural improvement consistent with the Company’s strategic goals.

Apply and utilize LEAN/CIP tools and skills necessary to achieve improvement with financial, reliability, and strategic business goals established at both the departmental and Company level.

Responsible for knowing, complying, and upholding all Company policies and procedures, including its Code of Business Conduct, in the performance of all duties and responsibilities.

Perform other duties as required and assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, or six years of experience in HR administration/field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources.

Human Resource experience in recruitment and talent acquisition.

SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work is performed primarily in an office environment. This role routinely uses office equipment.

The work is performed primarily in an office setting at the Corporate Office, Piketon, Ohio.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the regular employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; talk and hear; reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

TRAVEL:

Travel to various worksites and career events is required. Some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
