Braxton Health Care Center is seeking an experienced HR Assistant for our Sutton, WV office.

Purpose of the Job:
The primary purpose is to assist in facilitating the overall operation of the Business Office by performing clerical, payroll and record keeping duties. To provide compliance with all applicable policy and procedures, standards and regulations, in maintaining confidential personnel and employee files.
  • Consistently work cooperatively with patients, patients representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers.
  • Listen to patient and family complaints and report issues to the immediate supervisor.
  • Communicate effective and professionally on the phone and in person. Screen and direct all incoming calls.
  • Manage the external survey process.
  • Record and verity process transactions and documents as required for payroll processing. Ensure all payroll deadlines are met.
  • Manage and coordinate new hire orientation process from start to finish.
  • Ensure benefits are reviewed and communicated to new hires and employees.
  • Maintain all confidential personnel files and in-service records. Audit regularly to ensure compliance.
  • Assures mail is picked up at the post office and outgoing mail is delivered.
  • Send and follow up on Worker's Compensation claims and provide corresponding documentation to the appropriate HR department.
  • Maintain the OSHA log.
  • Monitor all new applicants in the ATS platform, schedule interviews, conduct interviews, send hire approvals to the Talent Management Coordinator.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or at minimum (2) years of relevant work experience.
  • One (1) year related business office experience and computer applications are required.
  • Experience with WV CARES preferred.
  • Payroll experience preferred.
  • Experience with Newton/Paycor preferred.
  • Self-Starter with limited direction needed.
  • Fast pace environment.
Work Schedule:
This is a Full Time position, routinely work five days a week during the day shift and as the need arises on other occasions, including weekends and off hours. This is an hourly position.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift in excess of 40 pounds. Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day. Be in good general health and be able to cope with mental and emotional stress of the position. Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility which include a physical examination upon hire.
