Ideal candidates will have at least two years of human resources experience, which includes direct employee contact (recruiting, hiring, discipline, conflict resolution, etc.). Successful candidates can work independently with little supervision, are able to adapt to a dynamic environment, and are able to effectively present information to candidates and new team members.

Job responsibilities:

  • Create and maintains a thorough recruiting network that includes, community colleges, travel/airline academies, high school / student employment offices, Job Services (State Employment Office) and other public agencies to generate qualified applicants
  • Develop recruitment strategies in conjunction with station manager to achieve the required staffing levels
  • Interview and selects qualified applicants while managing the background verification and new hire orientation process in a manner that promotes a positive experience for the newly hired team member.
  • Conduct wage and benefits surveys. Researches airport/port authorities, cities, etc. to determine any special regulatory regarding wages, benefits, and/or economic data
  • Keep records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting
  • Serve as point person for team member inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
  • Perform or assist with a variety of administrative duties including employee payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, other reports such as labor, out-of-scope billing, de-icing and airline compliance reports as assigned by station management

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact professionally with team members and customers
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
  • Possess strong computer skills, including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook software
  • Be at least 18 years old and possess an associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years of related experience and/or training
  • Be able to pass a drug screen and obtain airport security clearance which includes an extensive employment, criminal record and residence background check

Physical Requirements:

  • Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
