Houseman Job at Primm Valley Resorts and Casino
SUMMARY: Houseperson duties include assisting in the housekeeping department to clean common areas, repairing and replacing malfunctioned units and furniture, responding on guest's requests and inquiries, flexibility to multi-task, and coordinating to other personnel for concerns and guests' assistance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Walk all assigned floors at beginning of the shift and collect trash, soiled linen, and other items per management requests.
- Make deliveries to guest rooms for guest-requested items such as amenities, rollaway beds, cribs, bedding, and linens.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the guest rooms and hallways, as well as the lobby and other workspaces.
- Transport clean linen to the housekeeping storage rooms and replenish linen supplies on each floor.
- Anticipate, listen intently, and respond quickly to visitors' requirements to provide the best quality of service.
- Flips mattresses over on a quarterly basis or as required by manufacturer
- Stocks housekeeping cars for the Guest Room Attendants.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Solid work ethic and excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
- 1 year experience as a houseperson or housekeeper strongly desired
- Experience with a variety of cleaning products and techniques
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
