Hours: Varies (any hours outside of the typical 9a-5p M-F)


  • Mostly an At Home position (95%) although you need to live "near" North Kansas City area. At this time, we are not accepting candidates that live much outside of the KC area unless you are relocating. There will be some times in which you'll have to be in the office, but not a lot. Thanks!

Cascade Health Services
is currently seeking an After-Hours Staffing Manager to staff PRN nurses during the evenings, overnights and on the weekends. This role will need a sense of professionalism as you will be coordinating directly with the facilities and speaking directly to Cascade nurses to schedule hours. This role will also need to be a quick thinker to be proactive and reactive when scheduling needs from your assigned facilities.

WHAT WE ARE SEEKING….

Someone with some kind of healthcare knowledge might do best; although we've hired people with other talents instead and they have thrived for years. The ideal candidate can not be fearful of being on the phone and thinking on the fly. You will be monitoring emails, group text replies and the phone all day every day and have to be able to switch gears on a dime when a priority changes. Some of our staffing managers have been with Cascade for 5-10 years. We seek long term players and will take care of those who are successful on the team!


SUMMARY OF THIS ROLE

  • Work from home staffing RN’s, LPN’s, & CNA’s.
  • Must have: Wired internet, good computer (Windows), desk area to work. Cascade will provide a 10-line office phone to connect through the internet.
  • Typically, there are 3-4 After Hours Staffers working at the same time.
  • This is a busy role- You will be at your desk majority of the time so an area with no people or animal distractions during your shift is required - Note there are breaks and a lunch break.
  • Not Required but prefer Healthcare experience; understanding of various hospital and LTC entities and credentials. WILL TRAIN PEOPLE WITH THE RIGHT ATTITUDE.
  • This is not a sales role, but having a sales type mindset can be very helpful as often you have to convince nurses to take shifts (sometimes they want to work but don't want to work)
  • Creative, analytical type people do best in the role
  • Face paced, multi-tasking, able to manage and handle an ever-changing day is a must!
  • Will work average 40-45 hours per week- could be any hours outside 9am-5pm M-F.
  • Will work some hours in the NKC office- usually no more than one day every week or so- your home hours will be reduced or if you are covering PTO for an Office Staffing Manager
  • Monthly meetings in the NKC office at times.
  • Weekends & Holidays are mandatory.
