JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The General Ledger Accountant will assist in maintaining internal systems to support VanTran’s fast-paced and high-growth business. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: handle daily receipts; prepare monthly recurring journal entries; assist with month-end close; as well as handle day to day bookkeeping duties.
Essential Functions
1. Support day-to-day accounting functions.
2. Process and reconcile cash receipts.
3. Daily bank reconciliation.
4. Review of trial balance.
5. Reconciliation of key trial balance accounts.
6. Commissions accounting.
7. Setup new suppliers in accounting system.
8. Various month-end close duties.
9. Maintain Accounts Receivable and act as a back-up for Accounts Payable.
10. Preparation of annual 1099’s.
11. Conduct credit reviews for potential new customers.
12. Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
