Haydon Corporation is looking for a Forklift Driver/ Truck Loader / Unloader for our facility in Wayne NJ. The Forklift Driver/ Loader is responsible for safely operating a forklift and loading trucks to meet production schedule and customer service targets.

1st shift (7:30am - 4:00 pm)
2nd shift (4:00pm - 12:30am)

Individuals hired for the 1st shift & 2nd shift opening must be able to train on the 1st shift for about a month or longer.

KEY RESULTS & ACCOUNTABILITIES EXPECTED FROM ROLE

• Load and unload shipments and deliveries of coils, strut, pallets, etc.
• Confirm accuracy and quality of all loads being shipped or received.
• Prepare and stage shipments as needed (re-bundling, wrapping, labeling, etc.).
• Ensure labels and paperwork are accurate for incoming and outgoing loads.
• Prepare and stage shipments as needed (re-bundling, plastic wrap, labeling, etc.).
• Move materials to mill and machines.
• Weigh, mark and store coils properly.
• Maintain cleanliness of manufacturing area.
• Assist in other areas as instructed by supervisor

Experience & Expertise (mandatory & desirable)

Mandatory

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years Forklift truck experience
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to adhere to all safety rules including wearing appropriate PPE.

Desirable:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment as material handler
• Experience loading & unloading over-sized materials 10-20’ long which weight

3-6k lbs. Forklift CertificationPhysical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards:

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion.

Work Schedule: Full-time 40 hours per week, regular overtime including weekends
