Great Southern Wood – Bushnell, Inc., producer of YellaWood® brand pressure treated pine, is looking to hire an enthusiastic Production Employees and Forklift Operators at its location in Lake Panasoffkee, Florida. Located directly off Interstate 75, the facility is just 20 miles from The Villages, 30 miles south of Ocala, and 40 miles north of Wesley Chapel.

We are interested in applicants who have a positive attitude, team mentality, high ethical standards, good judgment, and the requisite skills necessary to produce quality work within a fast-paced distribution environment.

Basic Qualifications:

• Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors year round in a variety of weather conditions
• Ability to read and write numbers, perform accurate counts and utilize basic math skills
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to climb a stationary ladder.

Production Essential Job Functions:

• Handling wood
• Stacking and unstacking boards
• Feeding boards into Molder/Saw
• Applying end tags with a staple gun
• Applying banding to finished units
• Cleaning and sweeping

Forklift Operator Essential Job Functions:

• Operates forklifts with up to 18,000 pound capacity
• Loads and unloads multi-stop flatbed trailers
• Keeps material stacked evenly, safely and in an organized manner

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience

Pay:

• Production $16.00/hour
• Forklift Operator $18.00/hour
• Premium Pay for 3rd shift Production: $17.00/hour
• Premium Pay for 3rd shift Forklift Operator: $19.00/hour
