is seeking a skilled Field Technician in our Orlando, Fl. office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversight of subcontractors on a variety of projects including work within the environmental and water treatment market areas
  • Sample various media, including soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and vapor samples in accordance with standard operating procedures and submit them to the laboratory for analysis
  • Operation of various types of field equipment (e.g., sampling pumps, groundwater field parameter analyzers, GPS, data loggers, survey level, combustible gas meters, etc.)
  • Operation and maintenance of remediation systems
  • Completion of field documentation in a timely manner, such as job safety analysis (JSA) forms, project field reports, field notes, soil, groundwater monitoring forms, and chain-of-custody forms
  • Perform scheduled tests, observations, and inspections in accordance with applicable test procedures and project requirements
  • Collect data through research and file review
  • Assist with field testing to gather data for engineering, hydrogeologic, and scientific evaluations
  • Prepare field reports, tables, spreadsheets, graphs, soil boring logs, and other illustrations to document and summarize project data
  • Observe and document field activities and prepare construction documentation reports


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience with collecting soil, groundwater, or sediment samples
  • Capable of working primarily in an outdoor work environment and occasional office environment
  • Experience troubleshooting equipment preferred
  • Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a personal vehicle to travel to the Orlando office or work sites
  • Must be able to travel for extended periods of time, on occasions
  • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident
