KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly supervise Field Service Technicians and all technical training to support them.
  • Manage overall field service schedule and technicians assigned to specific jobs.
  • Provided work directions to Field Service Technicians and Field Service Assistants.
  • Assists the resolution of customer and field service issues:
  • obtains input from other departments where appropriate
  • may communicate directly with field on problem jobs
  • informs management of significant issues involving customers and reps
  • Works with other departments to address and correct problem areas as patterns develop.
  • Recommends changes in customer service programs and procedures to improve overall customer service and reduce costs.
  • Occasional travel to solve complex field issues.
  • Provides technical direction to customers and sales reps.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Five plus years experience in Customer/Field Service in the air moving industry or equivalent. Experience with fan and blower manufacturer preferred.
  • Working knowledge of fan terminology and mechanical systems, Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve machine vibration issues using practical techniques and instrumentation.
  • Working knowledge of vibration, Able to interpret spectral readings leading to solutions. Ability to train others. Certified as ISO Category II Vibration Analyst.
  • Demonstrated ability to process information and develop written procedures that are clear and accurate, professional communication, verbal and written skills.
  • Able to interface with customers and employees at all levels within the organization and to communicate effectively with them.
  • Possesses basic knowledge of Sales, Customer Service, and Engineering departmental functions and how they interface.
  • Able to travel to other facilities and customers sites as required.
  • Proficient in the use of standard office software programs and equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Standard office environment
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach
  • Ability to work extended hours sitting at a computer
