A DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Assist the project manager/Superintendent in their duties including prompt shipment of materials and permanent equipment, in obtaining approvals of shop drawings and material samples.
- Check all material against approved shop drawings and/or submittals.
- Documentation control – keep submittals, drawings, permits & inspections organized and readily available.
- Assist in coordinating the activities of subcontractors to permit them to perform their work effectively and to integrate it with project schedules and progress.
- Inform all supervisors and subcontractors promptly of any construction schedule changes, drawing revisions.
- Take on responsibility of the onsite Safety Manager, facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings, & equipment inspections. Make sure all Subs go through the safety video and preform daily safety inspections.
- Direct adherence to the company’s safety program in all phases and areas of the project.
- Keep the job-site trailer organized and clean everyday
- Take notes during meetings and update meeting minutes and send to Super/DBM for final approval and distribute out to subs.
- Assist and support superintendent/Assist. Super as needed.
- Attend all ARCO safety trainings, and programs

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-5 years of construction management experience, preferably on large commercial projects of 100k sqft or more
- Able to organize people, tools, and equipment and plan/manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with ability and willingness to face challenges, direct others, and effectively address conflict.
- Computer skills: proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and project scheduling programs.
