Job Title: FWS: The United Way of Kern County (Bakersfield Campus - Off-Campus Position)

Summary: The United Way of Kern County FWS student works exclusively for The United Way of Kern County in Bakersfield primarily as an office assistant to support the early childhood literacy program, which focuses on initiatives to improve early childhood literacy as a key component in its efforts to improved education. The FWS student supports the efforts of UWKern in its efforts to provide literacy resources to adults and children in fulfillment of UWKern's mission. FWS student completes clerical tasks as assigned by UWKern or the Student Center Coordinator (SJVC).

Education and/or Experience - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Status must be a current SJVC student. Possession of a minimum GPA of 2.5 and a minimum class attendance rate of 70%.
