POSITION SUMMARY

We are pleased to offer a job opportunity to work as a Family Center Program Manager with the DuPage County Department of Community Services. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing policies and goals, and the supervision of programs and activities within the Family Center.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises work of subordinate personnel
  • Recommends hires and promotions, directs, and evaluates employment decisions for all assigned positions
  • Consults with staff about clinical cases, directs community interventions, and organizes team planning and case staffings
  • Evaluates existing programs and develops new programs on the basis of observed needs
  • Meets with staff to coordinate planning activities and obtain clearance for new programs
  • Solicits funding sources
  • Researches grant requirements and guidelines for proposals and writes grants
  • Meets with members of community groups to provide consultation on issues related to Family Center programs
  • Collects and analyzes data to prepare various reports
  • Provides direct services to clients (e.g., mediation, classes, supervised parenting time, neutral exchange, etc.)
  • Serves as a liaison to help the court system in providing program information, clarification and training for on-going court referrals
  • Maintains regular attendance and punctuality
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Exercises supervision of personnel in related area of responsibility.

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Completion of a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or other mental health discipline, or Juris Doctorate, and four years of professional social services work and/or mediation including one year experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess and maintain in good standing a valid Illinois drivers’ license.
