Facilities Supervisor
Full time M-F 8am to 5pm, flexible
On call as needed, may require evening and weekend response
$20 - $23/hour commensurate with experience
Job Description and Expectations:
Perform routine maintenance around the buildings and parking lots to keep all systems in good working order. Be able to troubleshoot and determine correct course of action, either to perform the repairs in house or sub out to a qualified vendor. Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard. Maintain constant communication with supervisor to document repairs, irregularities and continuing needs. Apply preventative measures to buildings and parking lots to reduce future problems and safety issues. Understand, negotiate and enforce service contracts and commercial leases. Communicate effectively with other department heads to coordinate large scale moves and repairs. Always work in a safe manner following all established safety rules and regulations.
Familiarity with the following equipment a plus:
Forklifts, Golf carts, Air compressors, Diesel and gas generators/ATS, 2 post above ground lifts, Underground tanks, Modular furniture
Requirements:
Climb up and down secured ladders reaching rooftops Will be required to drive company vehicles Ability to push/lift/pull up to 65 pounds Ability to bend, sit, kneel, climb, walk, crouch as job may require Ability to work in extreme or inclement weather if required Work around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paints, heavy machinery in a safe manner Effective problem-solving abilities Good verbal and written communication skills Must be well organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks based upon safety and need Must be able to work well independently and with team members Must have current drivers license
