Experienced Dog Walker/Pet Sitter Job at Shake a Leg
Shake a Leg! LLC, a local dog walking and pet sitting business is seeking an experienced Dog Walker/Pet Sitter to be an Independent Contractor/Seasonal Helper to help occasionally/Part Time with growing business. Mondays- Fridays between 7a and 6p.... you must be available for some weekends, evenings and holidays and be able to travel to Hebron, Amston and Marlborough. 18 years or older and at least a high school graduate.
The ideal candidate will have:
1+ years of dog walking & pet sitting experience (if you are a current dog walker/pet sitter that's a plus!)
Own reliable transportation
Willing to travel throughout Hebron, Amston and Marlborough.
Very Flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
Available on short term notice (less than 24 hrs)
Must show professionalism and a HUGE love and disposition for animals
Physically able to lift at least 25lbs, walk for at least 20 minutes at a time, handle LARGE breed dogs who might weigh in excess of 150lbs, walk multiple dogs at one time, walk up hills, in woods, rocky terrain etc. Also required to bend, stand, run, sit, twist, move around vigorously as needed (playing with puppies and very active dogs) for long periods of time.
Must be able to work in all weather conditions including rain, ice, snow and heat
Education in Animal Training and/or Animal Behavior a plus!
Great interpersonal skills, customer service skills and a very positive and motivating attitude a must.
Willing to submit to a background check
