JOB SUMMARY
The Executive Director, Program Management, is responsible for the successful delivery of a large, high-velocity portfolio of projects. This role will coordinate with product managers and Global Technology leaders to establish common standards and repeatability in a dynamic environment.

The Executive Director will oversee the work of the Project Managers that flows across a variety of business as needed to handle resources and schedules and manage a team of professionals or programs, policies or functions of considerable scope and impact. The successful candidate will be part of cross-functional teams and work very closely with our internal business partners to deliver business outcomes. The role requires the candidate to be delivery-focused, with the ability to manage all aspects of a project portfolio, including resource planning, financial management, and reporting, as well as customer relationship management. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment where personal responsibility and open, direct, respectful communications are essential.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage day-to-day operations of the PMO department to ensure customer satisfaction through the delivery of high-quality project management and implementation services across a large portfolio of projects.
  • Monitor performance of team members and provide timely feedback and development support.
  • Provide vision and leadership on project creation, development, and execution to meet project budget, scope of work and implementation requirements.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the processes and tools used in the project management practice area.
  • Establish and cultivate a center of excellence of standards and best practices for project and program management.
  • Manage the risk, issue and portfolio change management process, and work with other leaders to take corrective action as needed.
  • Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
  • Typically manages those reporting to managers. Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area through several department managers within the company. Controls planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods. Direction received is very general and focuses more on short- to mid-term operating objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor's Degree: Business, Computer Science, Finance, or other related business discipline or equivalent experience- Required

Work Experience
  • 10-12+ years : Experience as a program or project manager, with a progressive record of successful delivery of complex solutions, systems, or services - Required
  • 6+ year: Leadership/management experience portfolio, program management experience - Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • Agile, PMP or any project methodology certifications - Preferred
  • Any Portfolio Management certifications are helpful- Preferred

Travel Requirements

The salary range for this role is $149,100 to $294,000. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience.

A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
