Description

  • The Executive Director of Creative Services is responsible for defining and leading the district’s creative vision as it relates to brand management, school marketing strategies, and customer experience development. This position will develop and direct the grassroots, specialty, neighborhood, and other key districtwide efforts to recapture, reengage, and recruit student populations from diverse audiences. The executive director will oversee and direct the district’s signature events, as well as be responsible for research, discovery, development, implementation, and progress monitoring of all recruitment strategies. This position will collaborate closely with internal teams and seek to establish peer relationships with senior leaders to increase district visibility and market share.
  • Develop and manage a robust database of key community stakeholders, internal and external, to serve as ambassadors for sharing district messaging, and provide training, strategic touch points, and collateral to share within their networks.
  • Evaluate data, set measurable benchmarks and progress monitor to determine impact of all campaigns and course correct as needed.
  • Develop and support neighborhood schools with target-specific messaging to better position them to successfully connect with their community and compete for students.
  • Manage annual budget and ensure resources are used effectively.
  • Collaborate with other executive leaders to manage resources across all departments and platforms to ensure the outreach strategy is brand-aligned and executed cohesively throughout the organization.
  • Create and execute external outreach campaigns from a multicultural perspective, to include transcreated messaging for diverse populations, to improve public perception of the district, inform parents, recruit, retain and engage students.
  • Plan and coordinate branded experiences that promote the district’s accomplishments, goals, positive news, and offerings throughout a variety of communities.
  • Direct and coordinate media buys and advertising for projects and campaigns for maximum impact with diverse target audiences.
  • Lead the adaptation, creation and management of brand identity that resonates with the district’s multi-language communities to be incorporated throughout the district and community.
  • Oversee specific marketing efforts surrounding grassroots engagement to mitigate enrollment loss o include research study, evaluation and campaign development across multiple cultures and platforms.
  • Communicate brand intricacies and scope of project to other creatives to provide a clear line between project requirements and elements of creative freedom while keeping the brand’s priorities front and center.
Qualifications

  • Required Bachelor's degree from an accredited University.
  • Required 5+ years professional experience in multimedia communications or related field.
  • Required 10+ years of directly related experience in copywriting, audio visual presentations, and
  • design principals, marketing and event planning preferably in a public setting.
  • Proven experience developing branding and school marketing campaigns for diverse communities that increase brand strength, recruits and retains students and creates brand ambassadors.
  • Experience and success in creating/transcreating and managing external multicultural communications.
  • Experience with media buys, advertising campaigns and agency practices.
  • Demonstrated excellent writing, speaking and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing audience experience for the district’s signature events.
  • Possess strong organizational, time management, and human relations skills to work with audiences at multiple levels.
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated and experience working with complex, diverse organizations.
  • Ability to keep pace with emerging trends and communication/marketing platforms with ability to think creatively.
  • Ability to work well with others in deadline situations, handle stressful situations, and supervise staff.
  • Proven customer service focused and exemplify the district’s tenets of fast, friendly, flexible and focused.
