Fenner Dunlop is looking for an enthusiastic Electrician to join our Homer City services team.

The Electrician - Mechanic will be responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, inspections and installation work on all plant utilities, buildings, equipment and on location(s). This position reports to the Operations Manager.

What You’ll Do

  • Work safely at all times, and ensures that those around you do the same, both internally and externally, ensuring a strong safety culture throughout the workforce.
  • Work assignments in the repair, maintenance or installation of equipment will be outlined by work orders and scheduled maintenance.
  • Electrician will furnish own personal hand tools; all specialized tools and equipment shall be supplied by FDA.
  • Electrician will document all service / inspection activities as required to comply with MSHA and governmental agency requirements.
  • Electrician will conform to all departmental, plant and mine safety regulations. Ensure compliance in accordance to MSHA regulations.
  • Read electrical schematics and troubleshoot both electrical and electronic control circuits.
  • Perform basic mechanic related repairs and processes as required.
  • Diagnose electrical, hydraulic and mechanical components and repair same.
  • Care, security and proper utilization of all tooling and material furnished by FDA for all work assignments.
  • Consult with Supervisor or Crew Leads for guidance and direction on assignments.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
  • MSHA Electrical Card/Industrial Electrician Journeyman Card
  • Four or more years of experience in the industrial electrical field or a related area.
  • Knowledge of commonly used mechanic related concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Perform services underground, surface and heightened locations.
  • Perform duties as a mechanic / electrician on equipment utilized by Fenner Services
  • Must be able to work all shifts and weekends
  • Capable of being flexible and adaptable
  • Routinely stand, squat, and/or work in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
