Western Forest Products is hiring for an experienced Electrician to support all four of our operating locations in the Vancouver and Washougal area.

Shifts: Day shift, Friday-Monday, 7:00am – 5:30pm

• With flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed if after shift repairs are required.

Successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing as well as background checks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As our Shared Services Electrician, you will troubleshoot and maintain equipment at WFP’s Columbia Vista Evergreen and Fruit Valley locations as well as our Calvert Vancouver and Washougal locations. This role reports to the Maintenance Superintendent with dotted line to the Electrical Systems Manager. Responsibilities will include:

• Respond to trouble calls at these sites in a timely manner. Expectation is that all breaks in production and after shift period will be used effectively to PM or service equipment.
• Utilize Fiix CMMS to track work being completed at all locations.
• Assist Maintenance Planner in creating effective PMs to drive machine reliability and create spare parts inventory to support Calvert operations.
• Communicate and apply new ideas to improve overall operations.
• Demonstrate best practices for safe operation of the facility and contribute to safety improvement efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS

• Washington State electrical license strongly preferred.
• At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be able to bend and install conduit, pull wire, and service industrial equipment.
• Must understand how breakers, switches, motor starters, buttons, relays, contact blocks work and be able to service these components safely.
• Knowledge of PLC’s, VFD’s, Temposonics, Valves, etc. is an asset.
• Must be arc flash trained, understand LOTO and use PPE.
• Willing and able to work night and weekend shifts as necessary.
• Maintain safe performance under pressure of operations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in an environment containing wood dust.
• Must have clean driving record and pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and background check.
