What You Will Do: :

Korry is looking for an experienced FPGA design and/or verification engineer who will lead the development, design and testing of FPGA architectures for Korry’s display and data concentrator products. This role will engage with other departments/functions to drive solutions that have an organizational impact.

Primary Responsibilities:
    • Contribute in multiple technical projects simultaneously ranging from new product designs, technical improvements, design standardization and process improvements while remaining flexible and sensitive to shifting priorities.
    • Lead technical effort estimation, design plans, and build/integration plans and activities for new product design and development.
    • Lead the development of product lifecycle and FPGA architecture from industry data, customer requirements, existing products technology trends, and market needs.
    • Produce FPGA deliverables according to rigorous phase gate development process and development standards. These include hardware requirements, design description, theory of operation, test plans, test procedures including test acceptance criteria, functional block diagrams, engineering analysis (math, simulation, & experimentation), constraints, and gate review records.
    • Collaborate with other engineering departments and/or customer to develop high level and subsystem level requirements.
    • Develop, manage, and track status of product technical performance and requirements.
    • Assist the program manager in the successful execution of all FPGA tasks to meet schedule and budget expectations.
    • Prepare technical presentations for engineers and management.
    • Lead the resolution of technical problems or issues using expert knowledge, root cause analysis, and change impact analysis.
    • Facilitate product development processes and critically review project design artifacts.
    • Maintain knowledge of aerospace and defense standards applicable to Korry products.
    • Understand and live by Korry’s ethics and business conduct policies.

What You Must Have:
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as verification engineer, and/or 3 years of experience designing with FPGA devices.
    • QuestaSim preferable, ModelSim proficiency with demonstrated experience.
    • VHDL (proficiency) and Verilog (familiarity) RTL with demonstrated experience.
    • Experience with scripting languages such as tcl, perl, python, bash, make files used for test control and execution.
    • Expert knowledge of DO-254 compliance activities including SOI participation and formal documentation creation.
    • Source Code Control tools (e.g. git, subversion) experience.
    • Configuration Management Tools for life cycle data.
    • Team collaboration and problem reporting tools and efforts.
    • Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products.
    • Excellent verbal / written communications and interpersonal skills.
    • Self-motivated, organized, detail oriented, committed to continuous improvement and interested in learning new skills.
    • Able to be an independent, objective, open-minded thinker.
    • You must be a US Person.

Desired Skills: :
    • UVM (Universal Verification Methodology) experience.
    • SystemC for verification.
    • Xilinx and Altera Devices.
    • Matlab.
    • SW Tools including requirements management (e.g. DOORS).

Education and Previous Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
    • Prior experience working in a regulated environment i.e.: aerospace, medical, or automotive.

Pay Range: $125,000 - $145,000 annually
