About the Job

Hanes Industries, Inc. a division of Leggett & Platt (NYSE: LEG), is looking for a Domestic Logistics Analyst to join our growing team in Conover, NC. Hanes’ products are most commonly found in industrial packaging, building products, automotive, filtration, furniture and mattress manufacturing, and land development construction projects. Our ideal candidate will work alongside our existing International Logistics team to support our 50+ locations in North America.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

The primary duties of the employee are (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Assist product managers with best practices regarding transportation of products purchased domestically.
  • Assist branches in resolving carrier problems, tracking, proof of delivery when needed, rate quotes to Customer Service, Sales and Market Managers.
  • Maintain and update receiving schedules for all inbound loads, including truck load and container loads.
  • Ensure Importer Security Filing (“10+2”) are entered in a timely and accurate manner
  • Update and maintain shipment information in department’s database and send out weekly update to IT. (IT distributes the information to all branches.)
  • Field day to day question about import shipments for Hanes associates.
  • Assist shipping department and customer service department in setting up expedited shipments.
  • Maintain, track, and analyze transportation shipments.
  • Proactively seek guidance and elevate any issues or concerns to expose risks or lead to cost savings.
  • Assist in various projects as necessary, representing the logistics department.
  • Monitor and track all dropped containers and trailers on company lots to ensure timely unloading and return with allowable time according to policy.
  • Work with various brokers and trucking companies on issues related to pick-up, delivery, and performance related matters.
  • Proactively seek guidance and elevate any issues or concerns to expose risks or lead to cost savings.
  • Be able to handle multiple priorities in a team environment.
  • Back up other personnel in department.
  • Other duties as assigned.


EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 – 3 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors degree, minimum of Associates Degree with experience.
