Summary

Coordinate and oversee all areas related to foster care and adoption. Provide supervision and oversight of the foster care and adoption. Provide case management supervision to the Case Managers/Licensing. Facilitate and coordinate best practices that maintain the highest level of safety, security and quality care for all clients in the Foster Care and Adoption Program. Coordinate the Foster Care and Adoption program according to applicable performance standards and requirements as set forth by applicable governing regulations, Epworth policy and procedure, the C.A.R.E. practice model, and national accreditation standards. Represent Epworth in the community; maintain good working relationships with other social agencies, services, and resources within the community. Responsible for outcomes reporting for DSS and accreditation to include but not limited to Critical Incident Reporting, Visitation Tracking, and progress towards DSS performance goals.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, or counseling
  • South Carolina Certified Adoption Specialist Certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • Five years experience working with children in the child welfare
  • Prior experience working with a child placing agency is highly recommended
  • Must be proficient with various software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and electronic communication. Know or have the ability to quickly learn any database system required
  • Must become a certified NCI and certified CARE trainer within 1 year of
  • Must be able to pass standard background checks, including: drug screen, employment physical, SLED, DSS Central Registry and Sex Offenders Registry
  • Has a belief system and engages in faith practices that are compatible with those of the United Methodist Church
