Dining Room Coordinator – Adult Day Program (LO) – 35 Hrs/wk

Roosevelt, NY

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:30A – 4:30P

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year experience working with DDpopulation

Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Ensure proper coverage for the dining room and activity room daily.
• Prepare the dining room for lunch.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff the lunch meal that is being provided and any substitutions or special needs.
• Provide assistance to assigned consumers for their meals.
• Assure that the diet and feeding protocols are being followed.
• Maintain a checklist to ensure all consumers have had their lunch.
• Ensure that the dining room is cleaned following lunch.
• Monitor and maintain the adapted feeding equipment.
• Incorporated Code of Ethics, Core Competencies and Empowerment Strategies in their daily professional responsibilities.
• Perform any other duties as requested by the Executive Director or his/her designee.

Physical Demands:

• The employee must be able to lift, bend and push more than 100 lbs.
• The employee is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods.
• The employee is regularly required to use hand-over-hand assistance when necessary.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
