CAMS (Community Association Management Services), one of the fastest growing community association management companies in the southeastern US, is seeking an Accounts Receivable and Delinquency Manager in the Wilmington, NC region.

As a CAMS AR & Delinquency Manager, you will be responsible for leading our Accounts Receivables and Delinquency Management team. You will build relationships with the community managers and other accounting staff and external stakeholders and provide guidance and information on AR and Collections related matters. You will be a resource for team members for complex and escalated items requiring second-level customer support. Ensure that all tasks related to billing, processing receivables, owner payments and managing owner balances are executed and managed in compliance with CAMS standards, and the CAMS AR/Delinquency team consistently fulfills all contractual deliverables accurately and on time.

The Delinquency Manager will be adept at maintaining relationships with internal, cross-function teams, as well as establishing relationships with Attorneys, Collection Agencies in order to produce the desired result. This position is responsible for ensuring all CAMS associations are setup on a standard delinquency model, delinquency notices are generated properly, all liens, foreclosures, and other notices are processed timely.

The Ongoing Objectives of This Position Will Include

  • Leads, trains and supervises team members in the Accounts Receivable & Delinquency department
  • Manage and oversee all operations related to assessment & misc billing, posting late fees, sending letters, setting up payments plans, charging legal fees, sending out invoices, lockbox and check scanner management, posting payments, reporting, and all communications related to the AR & collections processes.
  • Maintains working knowledge and proficiency in all departmental positions for training and assisting during times of need
  • Work closely with Community Managers, departmental heads, external specialists and service providers, Board members
  • Assist in establishing appropriate AR and delinquency strategy to ensure effective billing and collection of association assessments, fines, and fees for each association that we manage and in line with state statutes and governing documents
  • Work with the Onboarding Team to ensure new associations' AR balances are set up correctly and have the right delinquency process implemented promptly
  • Manage workload assignments to maximize efficiency while maintaining high standards of customer service and consistently meeting SLA’s and individual productivity metrics
  • Implement, enforce and manage audit protocols for all AR/Delinquency-related tasks to ensure ongoing internal quality control and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbal

  • Familiarity/expertise with HOA Management and community association law
  • Ability to organize complex issues, meet deadlines, and have accountability

Preferred Experience

  • 5+ years of experience managing people
  • College diploma or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable processing
  • Accounting experience preferable

Benefits and Salary

The position is full-time, Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and salary ranged around $50,000 annually and is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications listed above. This position reports to the Vice President of Operations.
