JOB MISSION:

The Analyst/Sr. Analyst, Global Consumer Insights & Analytics - Marketing, will work closely with our Global Marketing and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) teams to embed consumer insights and data throughout the go-to-market process. Your strategic analysis and reporting will drive key decisions shaping the future of digital and physical customer experiences, and will directly influence business strategies for both global functions and regional teams.

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for marketing analytics, with the goal of telling compelling, data-driven stories that inform strategies to drive customer acquisition and retention. Your work will directly support numerous cross-functional initiatives, including loyalty, omnichannel customer experience, and global media strategy. Additionally, you will lead the adoption of new tools within the marketing technology stack across regions, to enable personalization with first party data. In these capacities, you will champion a consumer-obsessed and data-driven culture across New Balance. This position is based at New Balance Boston headquarters.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Work cross-functionally to drive the strategy and implementation of consumer data, insights, and analytics as a capability at New Balance

  • Conduct quantitative analyses that inform leadership decision-making and continued investment in consumer insights and analytics priorities

  • Create, automate, and refine reporting for website and marketing channel performance tracking via dashboards and ad hoc analyses

  • Measure and report on a variety of key performance indicators, including customer lifetime value (CLV), customer acquisition rates/costs, customer satisfaction (CSAT) scores, and others

  • Collaborate with external vendors to conduct media mix modeling and multi-touch attribution exercises

  • Drive increased utilization of personalization tools, including our Consumer Data Platform (CDP), by providing subject matter expertise/support and scaling best practices across regions

  • Assess return on investment (ROI) of marketing initiatives powered by first-party data and marketing tools/technology

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • 4+ years of professional experience working at the intersection of marketing and consumer insights/analytics – either in industry or professional services (e.g., management consulting)

  • Command of Google Analytics and familiarity with tag management platforms

  • Comfort with modern digital marketing technology stacks, including practical experience across CDPs, Marketing Automation Platforms, and Email Service Providers (ESPs)

  • Fluency in marketing channel analysis and subsequent execution for retention and acquisition campaigns (e.g., email, search, and paid social)

  • Expertise in dashboard creation using data visualization platforms (e.g., Data/Looker Studio, Tableau, PowerBI)

  • Critical and strategic thinker with strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills. Highly comfortable analyzing and synthesizing disparate sources of information into compelling, data-driven stories

  • Proficiency with advanced business intelligence and reporting programming languages – SQL required, other languages (e.g., R, Python) are a plus

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team

  • Passion for athletic footwear/apparel industry and the New Balance brand

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
